Who makes BriefLasso?

BriefLasso is built by Cody Johnston, a solo maker in Lewisporte, Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada. It is operated by The Weird Canadian, Cody's small independent business. BriefLasso does one job: helping freelance web designers and small studios get logos, copy, photos and logins from clients so projects can launch.

Cody builds and runs BriefLasso end to end: product, code, support and the guides on this site. The guides are written from the practical side of web projects: what to ask clients for, how to word reminders, and how to keep a launch date when content is late. Where they compare other tools, they cite each vendor's own pricing page with the date it was checked.

Why BriefLasso exists

Small website projects most often stall waiting on client content, not on design or code. BriefLasso turns the request into one link and a short checklist, and sends the reminders so the designer doesn't have to.
