BriefLasso is operated by The Weird Canadian (operated by Cody Johnston), Box 74, Lewisporte, NL A0G 3A0, Canada. We want everyone, including designers and their clients with disabilities, to be able to use BriefLasso.

Our commitment

We are committed to meeting the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 Level AA, the standard required for websites under Ontario's Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) and its Integrated Accessibility Standards Regulation, and we aim to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA. This covers our public pages, the designer app, the client checklist and upload pages, status pages and the emails we send.

What we do

• Pages work with a keyboard alone, with a visible focus indicator and a "Skip to main content" link.
• Pages use headings, landmarks and labelled form fields so screen readers can navigate them; form errors and upload status are announced.
• Text and controls meet WCAG AA colour-contrast ratios, and information is never shown by colour alone.
• Pages reflow at 200% to 400% zoom without horizontal scrolling and respect your reduced-motion setting.
• Emails are sent with a plain-text version and a simple, semantic HTML version.
• We test with automated tools (axe-core) on every change and review pages by hand.

Known limitations

Files uploaded by designers' clients (for example PDFs or images) are provided by those users and may not be accessible. Third-party pages such as Stripe Checkout and the Stripe billing portal are operated by Stripe under their own accessibility commitments. If you run into a barrier, please tell us.

Feedback can be given in any way that works for you; tell us if you need another format or method (for example, a phone call arranged by email). We will acknowledge your feedback and respond within a reasonable time, normally within 5 business days, and tell you what we will do about it.

Accessible formats and communication supports

On request, we will provide this statement, our Terms, Privacy Policy, invoices and other information in an accessible format or with communication supports (for example plain text, large print, or a format compatible with your assistive technology), in a timely manner and at no extra cost to you. We will consult with you to find a suitable format.

Our alternative if something is not accessible

If any part of the service is not accessible to you, contact us and we will help you or your client complete the task another way, such as collecting content by email.
